Please provide any additional comments regarding the Food Safety AoE Team or this survey in the lines below. Feel free to use additional sheets of paper if necessary.
3 - I think offering the 16 hr. ServSafe course in Mt. Pleasant was a great boost for the AoE team. It not only helped our members, but also those in Extension, but not or the AoE team, that still have an interest in Food Safety. Also offering the course Dec. 7 is most appreciated. If I am able to be well trained in food safety. I am not only more useful to my county residents but also my AoE team. The hiring of Jennifer Wagester has helped organize this AoE team. Since she has come on board we, as AoE members, know more what is going on as she is great at communicating and organizing.
9 - I think that one critical area that needs to be addressed is answering food safety questions in counties (food preservation). Providing resources to each county helps, but there is always the possibility that whoever answers the phone has no food safety background so the resources may not be enough. A food safety hotline has worked for West Central. Might this be an area where our AoE could provide direction?
12 - I feel it has taken a while for things to get going with this AoE. But since the rehashing in Nov. of the mission, vision, etc. I hope things will begin to move. A lot has been done already which is good but with the potential and experience this group has, I look forward to more happening with the Food Safety AoE.
15 - I am a newer member of the AoE Food Safety Team. I would like to attain any additional food safety materials presented ASAP - email information, phone, etc. from the Retreat. I would like to become more actively involved - in the consumer work group - more information on how to do so, what I can do to participate. I was unable to attend the retreat in Nov. because I did not have enough time to plan.
16 - Thank you for arranging the ServSafe training and always being there as great resources! Also, many thanks for Food Code Book! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for completing this survey!!! If you have any questions or comments regarding this survey, please feel free to contact Les Bourquin at bourqui1@msu.edu, Ellen DeFay at defay@msue.msu.edu or Jennifer Wagester at gottsc10@msu.edu.
