About the Project

The Voices and Visions for Food and Food Safety Project was originally a multi-year project that was initiated by MSU and the National Food Safety and Toxicology Center and financially supported by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, Michigan's Project GREEEN, Michigan State University Extension , and the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station. Its purpose was to 1) focus a comprehensive planning and action effort with regard to the Food Domain and 2) develop a comprehensive Michigan State University Extension Area of Expertise (AoE) Team in Food Safety. Under the direction of Dr. Mark A. Uebersax, Dr. Leslie D. Bourquin, and Dr. Toby A. Ten Eyck, the project was successfully completed. Its accomplishments, however, will continue to positively impact the people of Michigan for years to come
