4-H Nutrition Program, MSUE
URL
http://www.msue.msu.edu/fnh/efnep/Youth/sld004.htm
About Site
The 4-H Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program tries to reach low-income youth with nutrition education. For 29 years, it has provided youth with basic education and skills in the principles of food and nutrition, increased the adoption of safe food handling practices, increased the amount of physical activity and increased the consumption of nutrient dense foods among youth. The goal of the 4-H Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program is to develop a tool that would be engaging and fun—that would measure nutrition knowledge, attitude and behavior changes in the youth they reach—would be useful to planning their programs and in highlighting the impact of their programs/efforts. The site provides the viewer with a slide show presentation explaining the program. The progam is supported by Michigan State University Extension Children Youth and Families.
